Night time run
Last nights 3 miler went so fast that i wanted to keep going! Spent the entire run talking with a friend through messaging and listening to some new music on my playlist. I don't care to end in he evening because that is time away from my family. I know they understand fitness is also important to me but I have that mom guilt when I do it. 90% of the time I run in the mornings before they wake up but I was so incredibly tired so I decided to sleep. I should just tell myself that if I don't run in the morning it's a rest day then. Oh well. Got three miles done! Felt fantastic which is weird because going into it I was so tired already and really didn't want to do it. Then after its done you remember why you do it.

2016 catch up!
Welcome! It's been quite a long time since I've even posted a blog to my page. In my own defense, I did keep a handwritten journal in 2015 recording every run along with using my Nike plus app. My husband actually makes fun of me for using a hand written journal! What can I say, I'm old fashioned and prefer actually writing verses typing.
Let's see, big news this year! We are relocating to Arizona! I am thrilled to experience new places people trails roads food. I really think I will enjoy it more than anything. A house is a home where ever you make it but in reality for me, I don't enjoy being indoors almost half the year because my face will freeze just by breathing stepping outside. I would much rather be too hot than too cold.
I purchased a Garmin forerunner 220 to start tracking my runs. It hasn't worked well for me on the treadmill it is pretty close but due to no gps it has a few quirks. I'm excited to use this outside.
I am participating in the Team Ortho Get Lucky 21k in March in Minneapolis. This race is special to me In a couple ways. Last year I set a PR on the course for myself of 1:52. I was averaging about 1:59-2:03 every half I've ever done. I trained hard for that and really gave it my all and it showed when I PR'd. I don't expect to even match that this year as I really haven't put my all into my training. Good news is, I have a month left of training so it's not too late to get back on track. I'm just going to enjoy it and have fun knowing it will probably be my last MN half here.
I am now a sweat pink ambassador! I am pretty excited to help encourage others to reach their health and fitness goals and be apart of a great strong community.
